Striking, bold and unique, James Malone Fabrics originate in the Mediterranean. Spanish, British and Moroccan influences predominate, and are infused with inspirations from many world cultures.

'Carabosse' is printed on linen, the design is inspired by the harlequin pattern worn by dancers in Puchinella ballets.

James is a British designer who has lived in Spain for many years. Passionate about colour and texture he brings the sensibilities of both cultures to his creations.

Inspired by Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso’s costume designs for the Russian Ballets, ‘Pulcinella’ displays elegant dancers in gorgeous patterned costumes on a linen-viscose base.

We love the strength of the Spanish aesthetic combined with a Northern African love of geometrics. Added to this is a quirky whimsical design sense we suspect originates from James Malone’s London roots.

‘Little Jeff’, typical of many James Malone designs, is thick, textural & generous.

A glamorous cut velvet leopard print called ‘Pardus’

'Khafra's' uneven pyramids play with the eye, and are available in 4 colours.

A soft and two-tone chenille appropriately called 'Snow'

The fabrics are experimental and creative; upholstery fabrics are thick and generous, whilst the sheers & drapes are delightfully floaty. James Malone’s bright fun textiles resonate well in South East Asia and each launch bring something new and entirely different.

Dramatic 'Rossinol' for colour, pattern and texture.

The ever-popular, over-sized herringbone is called 'Ziggy'

Eye-catching ‘Luang’ is on the chair, whilst ‘Tristan’ velvet is on the pillows.

‘Bundoran’ is so very textural
plus there is an excellent colour selection.

At the southernmost point of Europe, between the bush and the Mediterranean Sea, is the headquarters of James Malone Fabrics, surrounded by bougainvillea and olive trees. Perhaps due to its location, the South is present in the philosophy as the place chosen to interact with the rest of the world.
