Two women and one vision —Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst have built something rare-something quieter, more enduring. Rugs with soul, rugs with a conscience.
Natural fibres. Low energy. Hands that have knotted for generations. No latex. No shortcuts. Nothing that shouldn't be there. These luxurious rugs exude a natural beauty. Timeless, gentle and gorgeous, Armadillo luxury handmade rugs in Singapore
Many Armadillo rugs are held in stock— Armadillo understand that a beautiful rug should not make you wait.

Eden–tightly hand knotted
This is Eden in nougat, opulent and made with fine hand-dyed wool. The tightness of the knotting creates a remarkable lustre across the rug, a pleasure to walk upon. Armadillo say that they were inspired by heavenly frescoes defining luxury rugs in Singapore. Eden is lavishly soft to touch and a reverie to gaze upon.

Aspen
One of Armadillo’s flat weaves, Aspen has a soft linear texture reminiscent of mountainous slopes–a one-sided soumak style rug that is as quietly beautiful as it is considered. Indulgent wool, left entirely undyed, works seamlessly with any interior and rewards ongoing discovery as the light changes around it.
Wool is a remarkable fibre. Natural lanolin makes it inherently antibacterial. Dust mites dislike it. It cleans beautifully. For allergy sufferers a flat weave like Aspen is an especially lovely choice.

Alma
Devastatingly exquisite. Part of the Gaia collection — a collaboration between Armadillo and Catalonian artist Carla Cascales Alimbau Alma is, quite simply, like walking upon art.
Hand-knotted from silk and wool, its ultra-low pile carries a lustrous texture and nuanced tonal gradations that ensure no two rugs are exactly the same. A subtle luminosity. A gentle patina that shifts with the light, with the hour, with the years. A reminder, underfoot, that all things transform over time.
Certified for Commercial Use
Some rugs are beautiful. These are beautiful and built to last.
A significant selection of Armadillo’s handmade wool rugs and natural fibre rugs carry official certification from the Carpet Institute of Australia. Hotels. Hospitality venues. Offices. Retail stores. Tested for all of them.
This is what sustainable luxury looks like in practice. Rugs that exceed industry benchmarks for quality, performance and safety — without compromising on artistry.
The same rug that anchors a five-star lobby belongs just as naturally in your home.
