Designs of the Time create impeccable day curtain fabrics. ‘Pomo’ on the left is a very textured extra wide linen with a natural look created  using threads of varying thicknesses. On the right ‘Chigaga’ is a sun resistant indoor outdoor fabric made of polyolefin that is tough and more opaque.You can line either to create a full night curtain. Both are extra-wide. ‘Saba’ means sun, and here the motif features a palm leaf entwined with the flaming rays of the sun.  A deep textured ton-sur-ton design it comes in lush earth tones.

Tactile ‘Molera’ on the left is a thick chenille named after a beach on the Big Sur in California. To your right ‘Lobos’ is a tapestry jacquard that takes you to the leafy woods and comes in four incredible colours.

This is a lovely video, the colours are sublime, and even the model’s clothing and the horse’s blankets are from the Mendocino collection.

Wilder Collection: Awaken the curious wanderer within you

The colour palettes take a walk on the wilder side. Ages old, from times past there are oches, burnt siennas, raw umbers, soft greens and stunning indigos. These are complemented with pinkish clay tones and chalky off-whites.

Hemp is a fascinating plant, the toughest of natural fibres, in the past it was used for ship’s ropes. Hemp is the most environmentally friendly of all fibres available. Designs of the Time’s hemps are finely woven, here Chaco is such a beautiful white it almost seems to glow.

Linen is a tough plant and does not require insecticides.  It dyes beautifully, does not collect dust and is cool, fresh and comfortable. Truly it is a miracle fabric.

These textiles may appear casual yet a second glance proves that they are fabrics born from sophisticated and meticulous design practices. The result is confident, unique and very easy-to-use and live with designs. Yvan Puylaert and his team are steadfast in their pursuit of quality.

Many of these linens have exceptional rub counts.  Linens will last for  years, contain no toxins and are grown and manufactured to high environmental standards.  Without being cliched it is time that we consider the environment in our interior choices and there are plenty of options.
